In this class, two students will learn the basics of throwing and trimming on the wheel as well as different hand building techniques and will also receive instruction in glaze application.
I have one pottery wheel so students take turns but get one on one attention on the wheel. Classes are limited to two students and are tailored to suit the student's interests and experience level.

I take 1 set of evening students per week so evening spots can fill up fast.

2 person - 6 session course, each class lasting 2 hr - $290/person

Clay, glaze and firing is extra and is due on pickup of finished pieces.

Policies

Terms of agreement will be sent to new prospective students. Once read & agreed upon, a non-refundable $20 deposit per person is required before class start.

Balance of class cost is due at the first session. Cost for clay, glaze and firings is due on pick up of finished pieces in the case of continuing students. Trial lesson students must pay full amount for class & firings at the time of the class

I have a small studio & don’t fire often so I can give no guarantees on timing for pickup of finished pieces and glazing classes for ongoing students may be delayed to suit my firing schedule.

Once the balance for classes has been paid for, it is not refundable but can be re-scheduled on both of our parts with as much notice as possible.
Students have a year from the time payment is made to complete the classes.

Please bring a clean pair of shoes to class to be worn only in the studio as well as clothes that can get dirty.  To make throwing easier, jewelry should be removed, hair tied back and long nails trimmed.

The last 10-15 minutes of class is reserved for cleanup and is included in the class cost

CLAY : $2.25 per kg/ $22.50 per 10 kg bag

GLAZE & FIRINGS : About $1.00 - $10.00 per piece depending on size. Full kiln load: $50 bisque. $60 glaze
